Different service's offered by Tourershine

I now offer 4 types of valet services:
Standard.
Superior.
Restoration.
Clean and Cover.
Please read each service description fully to decide which suits your vehicle.

Standard:

A Standard valet comprises of a full body (including roof) clean and shampoo, aquawax, dry off and small detail. I would advise this service on a vehicle that has its factory shine as it wont restore any faded or marked bodywork. This service is generally used throughout the main season for a customer that just requires a caravan or motorhome to be clean just before they go away, or just after they return. Although an aquawax is used in this service, 'aquawax' is not a long term protection product. This product is designed to give an instant shine without all the hard work of adding a high resin wax. (Stages 1,2,3,9,10) A Standard valet takes between 2-3 hours to finish.

Superior:

A Superior valet is far more involved and will also add a high level of protection and deep shine. I would also advice this on a vehicle that is in good body order as it wont restore any bad paint fade. This is my most popular service which adds the much needed protection our vehicles need. Just like a brand new car, caravans and motorhomes don't come from the dealers with any paint protection in the form of a wax without a huge added cost from the dealership. Its been proven that without some sort of paint protection on a caravan or motorhome, they will fall foul to weather damage. This can be anything from tarnishing and staining to more common problems like paint fade from the sun.(this is where the caravan looses it's shine and becomes flat, making washing a very hard task) This is the main reason I have the 'Restoration' valet. 99% of the caravans and motorhomes I Restore, would not of needed this service if the vehicle had been applied with a form of protection on the exterior of the body atleast once a year. The Superior will add this needed protection and also make washing the caravan or motorhome throughout the year a far more effortless task if using the correct shampoo.(Stages 1,2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10) A Superior valet takes 4-6 hours to finish.

Restoration:

This valet does exactly what it says. It uses all 10 stages, and its stage four that is the most labour intensive of all my stages. I would advise this valet for anyone looking to give their vehicle a new lease of life. I will restore any faded (not damaged or poor DIY spray jobs) caravan or motorhome back its showroom glory and in many occasions better!
Previous customers who have used this service have been gob smacked at what their vehicle can look like once they have had this service. I carried out this service on a Freedom caravan for Lindsay Porter of Caravan Magazine, lets just say he was rather happy with the result. (featured in the November 2009 edition of the magazine and can be e.mailed to any customer at request) Due to the logistics involved with this service, it will have to be planned with myself and its impossible to give a fixed price without either talking to me or me seeing the vehicle. A Restoration valet can take up to 2 days to finish.

Clean and Cover:

This service is the supply and fitting of a high quality breathable cover along side any of my valets. The covers will be passed on at a trade price, but only if booked with any Tourershine valet. It's always worth asking me for a price on this service if your thinking of buying a cover. Sometimes you may end up paying very little extra for this service, compared to the customer buying just a cover at retail cost. I often get asked if covers are worth having. I cannot rant enough about the benifits of a good quality cover. To start off, they reduce the dreaded damp issues many caravans suffer from. They save the huge job we all have after a hard winter of getting the caravan or motorhome clean again. I have used a cover for over 3 years and never once had any problems. You do read about covers marking the body and windows. This is caused by ill fitting covers that flap around in the wind, and people covering up a dirty caravan and motorhomes. I am always amazed how good the caravans and motorhomes look after a hard winter under a cover, providing they are cleaned before the cover is put on. So yes.. I am a huge fan of covers!!

Stage one

Apply an advanced multi-functional cleaner to the whole caravan/motorhome including the roof. This stage will remove any grime, moss, black streaks and general dirt.

Stage two

Rinse the Caravan/motorhome removing all the cleaner and giving the whole vehicle a degrease in preparation for the rest of the stages. This is done with the use of the lowest bar pressure washer that Karcher supply. The lance has also been modified to further reduce the overall water output to make it safe to use on caravans and motorhomes. The whole roof is then brushed with a shampoo and washed off, this adds a normal level of protection. (roof wax service is advised but not essential)

Stage three

Go over the whole caravan/motorhome with a fresh microfibre drying cloth to remove all the water.

Stage four

Machine mop the whole caravan (roof not mopped) with different grade compounds to restore its factory colour. I can also remove any faded stripes, decals and stickers, and replace with new more modern ones (this is not always needed and down to each customers requirements)

Stage five

Apply a coat of super resin polish to the whole caravan/motorhome (roof extra cost) and leave to dry. This is then buffed off to give a brilliant glossy shine. This stage contains specialised emulsifiers and conditioners that also protect the caravan/motorhome paintwork with a sealer.

Stage six

The paintwork is finished with a coat of liquid hardwax which is a long term high gloss extra sealant. This is applied and left on the bodywork for up to an hour. Then buffed to an intense shine, providing a high level of protection to the caravan or motorhome.

Stage seven

All the windows inside and out are applied with a special window wax and polished to a clear shine. This also removes any fine scratches that are often seen on the windows.

Stage eight

This is the most important stage, where I will inspect the caravan/motorhome and do any detailing which I feel need attention to give the caravan/motorhome that little "extra" service. This will include enhancing any rubber seals, removing any tarnishing from lockers and handles and remove any surplus sealer I hate to see this as it traps grime and ruins the finished look of the caravan/motorhome.

Stage nine

Polish up any alloy wheels, or clean any steel wheels and wheel trims, then apply a subtle tyre shine.

Stage Ten

Inspect the whole caravan/motorhome from roof to wheel to ensure the customer and I are fully satisfied with the service carried out.

I only use Autoglym products because I find they give the best results and last longer than any other product I have tried. I use these products on my own car and caravan and have tested everything I use before hand. I don't use any harsh chemicals and nothing I have used from the Autoglym range has ever caused any problems. This is the sole reason I use the whole Autoglym range.

Below is my 2010 price list:

Restoration

As mentioned above, I need to see the caravan or motorhome to price a job like this as some can take a full day, where as others can take 2 days to finish. I would need to know if you want the vehicle re-stickered and in what colours, and any other details you may wish to talk about. Nothing is impossible when it comes to the Restoration service. Prices for the Restoration service start from £200 and the average cost is around £350. This service will normally add around 40% to the value of your caravan depending on age and unrestored condition. To give an example I recently restored a 1994 Avondale for a customer in London. He paid £1900 for the caravan off ebay, he then spent £400 with me and sold the caravan privately 2 weeks later for £3600.

Please take into consideration if your outside my initial area, that I will have to add a very small cost to cover the extra fuel. I will add that it is to cover the fuel only and not the extra travel time, therefore it will only be a small charge. To give an example I recently did a 200 mile round trip for a customer and this cost an extra £30 which i feel is very fair. (this is only an example and if I can cover the costs by doing other work in the same area then it won't apply)

I feel I should mention that although I am very good at what I do, none of the above services will remove any body damage that has broken any of the caravan surfaces. If I find any damage that I am able to fix on site like wheel arches not attached properly or seals that have popped out, at this point it will be pointed out to the customer and if its a quick fix I will include this in my overall service.

I will fully inspect the whole caravan or motorhome before I start work to log any dents or damage beforehand. This inspection will be done with myself and the customer and then signed by both parties.

When I am working out caravan prices, please take into consideration that the above sizes are the shipping length. This is the size of the caravan from the back, to the end of the tow hitch.

I would also like to add on a personal note...
Regardless if you are spending money on a Standard valet or a full restoration, the quality and service does not change. I still use the same products, and as much effort and pride is used for all of my work.
